If you're bringing several electronic appliances be sure to bring an extra power strip. Most rooms only have two plug ins if that.
Turn your phone on airplane mode and turn cellular date off to avoid extra charges. Internet packages can be purchased for cheap. If you don't want to buy Wifi, you can usually find it at the port or restaurants nearby.
If you aren't in a hurry, avoid the expensive port parking and look for other nearby parking. There are always people holding signs near the port for cheap parking.
Bring small bills on the ship to tip your waiters and cabin keepers.
Bring a bottle of wine and cans of soda if desired. Most cruises allow a small amount of each.
Don't buy the drink pass unless you plan on drinking 15 drinks per day! It's quite expensive and most drinks can be purchased for about $10.
Book excursions online through third party companies. Cruise ships over price their excursions for the convenience. Just be sure to keep track of time when you’re at the port. The cruise ship will leave you if you aren’t back on time!
Bring a portable charger for relaxing on the deck. You won't want to go back and forth to the room to charge your phone.
Stalk up on medications such as ibuprofen and Dramamine before the cruise. They're expensive if you have to purchase on the ship.
Bring sunscreen even if you "don't burn." You're going to be in the middle of the ocean and it’s better to be safe than sorry!
Bring a small steamer or wrinkle release spray. You'll want to get all dolled up and no one wants wrinkly clothes. Iron's aren't provided in the rooms.
Bring a water bottle that will keep your drinks cold. It's important to stay extra hydrated and it makes it hard to drink water when it gets warm so quickly.
If you are like me and lose things easily, bring a lanyard for your room key. It'll make the process of digging your key out each time much easier.
Book anytime dining so you're not rushed to make it to dinner.
Bring tupperware so you can stash snacks from the buffet. Priorities!
